It’s all about… Tanisha

Tanisha Rankins, Owner of Customer Service & Efficiency Solutions

I’ve always been told that you should not mix business and pleasure.  However, when I met Tanisha Rankins we almost immediately became friends.  She’s one of those people who you can count as a true friend.  She’s not afraid to let you know when she’s sad, mad or happy yet she doesn’t come across as overbearing or insensitive.  I like those qualities in a person because you never want to guess where you stand with people but you don’t want them to be over self-indulgent or harsh.  That is a fine line to walk.

But why do you need to know who Tanisha is?  Tanisha is the owner of Customer Service & Efficiency Services (CSES) who specializes in Customer Service solutions.  She is a determined entrepreneur and tells her clients and nonclients the truth about the service they are providing to their customers.  “Wow”  was all I could say when I heard about her business because the service in our country has a tendency to suck.  Many people know how to do a thing (i.e. bake, embroider, fix cars) but few think about the importance of getting customers and keeping them.  I’m sure you can think of a few businesses that could use her services.

Another great quality that Tanisha possesses is her committment to her community – Monroeville AL.  It is so hard to get involved and make a difference in your community because most people think just volunteering is a valuable contribution.  However, to affect true change you have to connect with the decision makers and become a part of creating solutions to your community’s problems.  This process is so much easier said and written than accomplished.   Tanisha has been diligent in attending Chamber events, attending her City Council’s work sessions (where the action really happens) and working with organizations that are making a difference.

Last week, she came to our Professional Business Women’s luncheon and she was frazzled.  She had spent the morning talking to 7th graders about SEX and trying to influence them to abstain.  Again, WOW was all I could think because the stories she told of that experience not only further demonstrated her committment to make a difference but it also showed me the seriousness of sexual promiscuity within our youth.  A lot of people will talk about problems but how many of us get up and do something? Tanisha is one of the few that is finding solutions and working to execute them.

Today it is all about Tanisha.  Take a few minutes to check out her blogs and leave some comments.

This week was all about Tanisha.  Come back next week, it could be all about… YOU!
